Privacy Policy
The short version
- We only collect what we need to run Sealed With Love. For hosts, that’s an email address. For contributors, a name — plus an email if they opt in to reveal notifications.
- We don’t sell your data. We don’t show ads.
- Submitted messages are processed by AI to generate the word cloud visualization on the event page. They’re not used to train AI models.
- You can delete events you host from the Manage tab in the event’s admin page. To delete your account, or to delete something you submitted as a contributor, email us and we’ll take care of it.
- Questions? Write to us at privacy@mossysnacks.com.
Who we are
Sealed With Love is operated by Mossy Snacks LLC, a limited liability company based in North Carolina. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Mossy Snacks LLC. “You” means anyone who uses the service — whether you’re a host creating an event, a contributor submitting a letter, or a recipient viewing one.
When you use sealedwith.love, we collect and use some information about you. This policy explains what, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect and why
Our guiding principle is to collect only what we need. Here’s what that means in practice:
Identity and access
When you sign up to create an event, we ask for your email address so we can sign you in via a magic link and send you notifications about your events. You can also add a display name that appears on events you host. When someone contributes to your event, we store the name they sign with.
Billing information
When you pay to reveal an event, your payment information is submitted directly to our payment processor and never hits our servers. We store a record of the transaction — enough to issue refunds, respond to billing questions, and meet our tax obligations — but not your full card details.
Contributor submissions
When someone contributes to an event, we store the name they sign with, the letter they write, and any photo they attach. If a contributor opts in to receive a reveal notification, we also store their email address so we can send that notification — and keep it on file so that if the same person later hosts an event or contributes to another one, we can link it to the same account.
Product interactions
We store the content of events so that hosts can manage them and recipients can view them. Events are kept while your account is active. When you delete an event, its letters and photos are deleted with it.
Website interactions
We use Vercel Analytics to collect basic, aggregated information about how people use the site — page views, browser type, and load times. It’s cookieless and doesn’t fingerprint individual visitors. We don’t run any other tracking.
AI processing
When a contributor submits a letter, the text of that letter is sent to our AI provider to extract a handful of emotional words that build the word cloud visualization on the event page.
Your letters aren’t used to train AI models. Photos aren’t processed by AI.
When we access or disclose your information
To provide the service. We use a small number of third-party subprocessors to run Sealed With Love. You can see the current list at Subprocessors.
To respond to support requests. If you email us for help, we may need to look at your account or content to troubleshoot. We’ll ask for your permission first if that’s necessary.
To investigate abuse. If we receive a report that someone is using the service in a way that harms others, we may access the relevant content to evaluate the report.
When required under applicable law. We’re a U.S. company with data infrastructure in the U.S. If a U.S. court or law enforcement agency serves us with a legally valid request, we have to comply. We’d push back on overbroad requests, and we’d notify you beforehand unless we’re legally prohibited from doing so.
We don’t sell your data. We don’t share it with advertisers.

If we ever experience a breach affecting your personal information, we’ll notify you and the relevant regulators as required by law (including North Carolina’s Identity Theft Protection Act).
