Terms of Service

The short version

  • Sealed With Love is a software service run by Mossy Snacks LLC. We’ll do our best for you; you agree to be decent to other people who use it.
  • Hosts pay a fee to reveal an event. Full refund if you haven’t revealed it yet. No refund after reveal.
  • When you submit a letter or photo, you still own it. You give us permission to display it as part of the event.
  • Be thoughtful about what you submit. No hate, no harassment, no content that sexualizes minors, no stuff you don’t have the rights to.

Who we are

Sealed With Love is a product of Mossy Snacks LLC, a limited liability company organized in North Carolina. In these terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Mossy Snacks LLC. “The service” means the website at sealedwith.love and everything we offer through it.

Using the service

You can use Sealed With Love as a host (you create events and pay to reveal them), a contributor (you submit a letter or photo to someone else’s event), or a recipient (someone an event is created for).

You need to be at least 13 years old to create a host account. If you’re under the age of majority where you live (usually 18), you should have your parent or guardian’s permission.

When you create a host account, you agree to these terms. Contributors agree to these terms when they submit a letter.

What we’ll do

We’ll keep the service running, store your events and letters safely, deliver events when you’re ready, and respond to your questions. We’ll protect your data the way we described in our Privacy Policy.

We can’t promise the service will be perfect or uninterrupted. We’re a small operation, and occasionally things break. When they do, we’ll fix them as fast as we can.

What you’ll do

You agree to:

  • Use Sealed With Love for its intended purpose: celebrating people you care about.
  • Only submit content that you have the rights to share.
  • Be respectful of other people who use the service — especially event recipients.
  • Keep your sign-in email secure. Anyone who can access your email can access your account.

You agree not to:

  • Submit content that’s hateful, harassing, threatening, or sexually explicit.
  • Submit anything involving the sexualization, grooming, or exploitation of minors. (If we find this, we’ll remove it and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, as required by US federal law.)
  • Submit content designed to mock, shame, or harm the event recipient.
  • Submit copyrighted content that isn’t yours — song lyrics, photos you didn’t take, etc.
  • Use the service to spam, phish, distribute malware, or do anything illegal.
  • Try to break the service, reverse-engineer it, or scrape it at scale.
  • Impersonate someone else.

If you do any of this, we may remove your content, suspend your account, or report you to the authorities, depending on the situation.

Payment and refunds

Creating an event is free. To reveal an event to the recipient, hosts pay a one-time fee, shown at checkout. Payments are processed by our payment provider — we never see or store your card details.

Our refund approach is simple:

  • Before you reveal the event: Full refund, no questions asked. Email hello@mossysnacks.com.
  • After you reveal the event: No refunds. The service has been delivered.
  • If something goes wrong on our end:If a technical problem on our side prevents your event from being revealed or causes you to lose content, we’ll either fix it or refund you — whichever you prefer.

We may change pricing for new events in the future. We won’t retroactively charge you more for events you’ve already paid for.

Host responsibilities

If you create an event, you’re the one in charge of it. That means:

  • You decide who to invite, and you’re responsible for who you share the invite link with.
  • You decide when to reveal the event, or set a date for it to reveal automatically.
  • You can review contributions and, if something doesn’t belong, contact us at hello@mossysnacks.com so we can remove it.
  • You’re responsible for making sure the recipient actually wants to receive an event. Please don’t create events as a form of surveillance, harassment, or unwanted contact.

Recipient rights

If someone creates an event for you and you don’t want it to exist, email privacy@mossysnacks.com. We’ll take it down. You don’t have to explain.

Copyright and content ownership

All content posted on the service must comply with U.S. copyright law. If you believe someone has infringed your copyright through Sealed With Love, see how to file a copyright infringement claim.

You give us a limited license to use the content you post to provide the service to you — things like storing it, displaying it to the recipient, processing it with AI for the word cloud, and making backups. We claim no ownership over what you submit. Your letters and photos remain yours.

This license covers what we need to run Sealed With Love. It does not include the right to use your content for marketing or promotional materials. If we ever want to feature an event as a case study, testimonial, or marketing example, we’ll ask for your specific permission first, separately.

We don’t pre-screen content. We reserve the right to refuse or remove content at our discretion, though we’re not obligated to.

Mossy Snacks LLC owns the service itself — the website, the design, the code. You don’t get any ownership rights in it by using the service. Please don’t copy our visual design or code.

Removing intimate images

If someone has posted a nonconsensual intimate image of you on Sealed With Love (including AI-generated images), email privacy@mossysnacks.com and we’ll remove it promptly, in line with the US TAKE IT DOWN Act.

Accounts and suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe are being used to harm others. We’ll usually give you a warning and a chance to fix the problem first, but for serious violations (like CSAM), we’ll act immediately.

You can stop using the service at any time. To delete your account, email privacy@mossysnacks.com.

The service is provided as-is

We do our best, but we can’t promise the service will always be available, error-free, or meet every need you might have. Sealed With Love is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind — express, implied, or statutory — except to the extent required by law.

Limits on our liability

To the extent allowed by law, Mossy Snacks LLC isn’t liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the service. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the past 12 months, or $100, whichever is greater.

This doesn’t limit liability that can’t be limited under applicable law — for example, for fraud or willful misconduct.

Changes to the service

We may update, change, or discontinue parts of Sealed With Love as we go. If we’re making a significant change — especially to pricing, what we do with your data, or how the service works — we’ll give you advance notice by email or an in-app message.

Changes to these terms

If we update these terms, we’ll update the “last updated” date at the top. For significant changes, we’ll ask you to agree to the new terms the next time you sign in.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you agree to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

If you live outside the United States, you may have additional rights under your local consumer protection laws, and nothing in these terms is meant to waive those rights.

Other legal bits

  • Severability. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • No waiver.If we don’t enforce a particular part of these terms on one occasion, it doesn’t mean we can’t enforce it later.
  • Assignment.We may transfer our rights under these terms to another company (for example, if Sealed With Love is ever acquired). You can’t transfer your rights without our permission.
  • Entire agreement. These terms, plus the Privacy Policy, are the full agreement between you and Mossy Snacks LLC regarding Sealed With Love.
